Reliability Engineer | Lansing, MI
Salary Range: $86,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement reliability strategies for manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and recurring issues.
- Lead Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential failure points.
- Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve asset uptime.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to implement reliability solutions.
- Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance equipment reliability.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment focusing on reliability engineering.
- Proficient in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and other reliability tools.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software.
- Strong understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
Bonus Qualifications
- Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification.
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, R, Python for data analysis).
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software.
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
