This career requires analytical and mathematical skills, and a firm understanding of the main principles of engineering and construction.
A site project engineer is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
  • Work with site engineering & maintenance resources to develop project scope and objectives.
  • Follow project front end loading process and identify project phases and design requirements.
  • Develop project estimates including equipment, construction and commissioning cost.
  • Perform project financial analysis.
  • Provide leadership to bring the project through the approval process.
  • Coordinate project Mechanical, Process & Electrical design with in-house and contracted resources.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
  • Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and adhering to the plan and schedule.
  • Control project costs by monitoring purchases, construction and commissioning costs.
  • Assist with providing daily construction management support.
  • Maintains project design and commissioning documentation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering degree preferred or 5 years of relevant project engineering experience.
  • Industrial plant experience in chemical processing preferred.
  • Good communication and presentation skills (both oral and written).
  • Good interpersonal and Conflict Resolution Skills with the ability to influence managers, peers, and maintenance team.
  • Ability to utilize other software tools as appropriate SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS CAPITAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT IS REQUIRED
