Responsibilities
Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults.

Position Summary
The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including child, adolescent, geriatric and chemical dependency patients using the nursing process. Duties include: assess mental health needs, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide milieu management and crisis intervention strategies. We are currently seeking Full time - Registered Nurses!
Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, and counselors. Direct milieu management.
  • Provide assessment of patients' psychiatric and medical status.
  • Contribute to treatment plan as a member of interdisciplinary team.
  • Document nursing care, treatment, and patient's response to treatment
  • Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and chemical dependency disorders and apply/utilize appropriate treatment interventions.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree) required. BSN preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year related experience required. Psychiatric nursing experience is preferred.
  • Current CPR Certification required
  • Hours: Day Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM (Rotating Weekends Required)
