At Aiden, we are creating a unique hotel and residence experience where exceptional hospitality, thoughtful service, and quality come together. As part of our opening team, we are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Chef – International Cuisine to join our culinary team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled culinary professional with strong knowledge of international cuisines who takes pride in creating high-quality dishes, maintaining excellent food standards, and delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests and residents.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes representing international cuisines.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of global culinary traditions, ingredients, flavours, and cooking techniques.

  • Prepare food according to established recipes, menus, portion standards, and presentation specifications.

  • Assist with the development of international and multicultural menu items, daily specials, and seasonal offerings.

  • Ensure all dishes are prepared with consistent quality, flavour, texture, temperature, and presentation.

  • Prepare ingredients using professional culinary techniques including chopping, portioning, marinating, grilling, roasting, sautéing, baking, and braising.

  • Maintain excellent standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation throughout service.

  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

  • Assist with banquet functions, special events, restaurant service, room service, and other hotel culinary requirements.

  • Monitor food quality and communicate any concerns regarding ingredients, preparation, or equipment to the appropriate supervisor.

  • Maintain proper food storage, labelling, dating, and rotation procedures.

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, HACCP, health and safety, and hotel standards.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation and kitchen at all times.

  • Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portion control, storage, and ingredient utilization.

  • Assist in monitoring inventory and communicating ingredient requirements to the Chef or Kitchen Manager.

  • Respond professionally to guest dietary requirements, allergies, and special requests.

  • Support the training and development of junior culinary team members when required.

  • Contribute ideas for new dishes, menu improvements, and culinary presentations.

  • Work efficiently and calmly during busy service periods while maintaining high standards.

  • Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and operational standards.

  • Perform other related culinary duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications

  • Previous professional experience as a Chef, Cook, or similar culinary position.

  • Strong experience preparing international and multicultural cuisine.

  • Culinary education, apprenticeship, or equivalent professional experience is an asset.

  • Strong knowledge of international ingredients, cooking methods, spices, sauces, and culinary techniques.

  • Experience in a hotel, restaurant, resort, banquet, or high-volume kitchen environment is an asset.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation.

  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse culinary team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout an 8-hour shift.

  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.

  • Ability to work in a hot, humid, and fast-paced commercial kitchen environment.

Schedule

  • Full-time position.

  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
