Job description

Olivetta celebrates the recipes and styles of preparation which span the coasts of the Mediterranean Basin (Italy, France, Spain, and Greece). Drawing inspiration from these regions, Executive Chef Michael Fiorelli has reimagined coastal classics to create contemporary dishes that encompass the spirit of being on holiday in Europe while taking full advantage of seasonal ingredients found at home in Southern California.
We are seeking hospitality industry professionals with experience working in upscale, fine dining establishments and /or high-end cocktail bars.
The Barback will assist with cleaning the bar, ensuring the bar is well stocked, preparing garnishes etc. This person should be knowledgeable about the menu and focused on providing quality service in a fast-paced environment.
Job Overview
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner
- Ensure Bartenders are properly stocked with clean glassware and supplies
- Collect used glasses and plates
- Keep the bar clean by wiping, cleaning, and mopping
- Attend to any guest requests and relay to servers, bartenders and managers when needed
- Ensure items are stocked properly
Requirements
- 2 years' experience as a Barback in a restaurant, bar or lounge
- Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Willing to learn and take direction well
- Work flexible schedules and willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Collaborate with Colleagues cross-departmentally
- Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- Work cohesively with Colleagues as part of a team
