Seeking Transitioning Service Members for Skill-bridge/Internship Opportunities
Who we are: In partnership with Five and Fly, Red Dog Welding Co. merges craftsmanship, discipline, and integrity - instilled by military values - to deliver quality steel work that lasts. Whether you're a seasoned welder or just starting out, if you take pride in your work and want to grow with a team-of-professionals, we want to hear from you.

As part of the team, you'll be expected to:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools (MIG, TIG, Stick, arc, etc.).
  • Cut, prep, align, clamp, and assemble metal components precisely to spec.
  • Weld in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead) as needed.
  • Inspect finished welds for quality, strength, and compliance with project specs and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
For candidates in a lead role / Welding Foreman: additionally
  • Guide, train, and mentor less-experienced welders.
  • Oversee projects on-site, coordinate tasks, manage materials/equipment, and ensure quality control and timely completion.
  • High-school diploma or equivalent (or GED) or submitted proof of welding apprenticeship/training.
  • Basic welding experience (for entry-level) or 3-5+ years welding/metal fabrication experience (for experienced roles).
  • Ability to read technical drawings/blueprints.
  • Familiarity with standard welding tools and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, safety awareness, and physical stamina (lifting, standing, manual labor).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a hands-on environment.
Preferred (but not required):
  • Certification from a recognized welding program or apprenticeship.
  • Prior experience with structural/steel fabrication or working on construction sites.

No Experience required to join the team!
No need to utilize your GI Bill Benefits
Obtain your Welding Certification during Skill-bridge Program
Skill-bridge Lengths: 60-180 Days, Candidate Tailored
Opportunity to join a veteran-owned, mission-focused team that values quality, integrity, and growth.

Real chances to grow with the company - apprenticeships, learning on the job, mentoring, and advancement into lead roles for high performers.

A dependable, stable job with a team that takes pride in craftsmanship and mutual respect.
