Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day
You engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the Puerto Rican, Dominican Republic, and Caribbean Islands power markets, monitor market developments, and identify potential power generation opportunities. You collaborate with internal teams to align market needs with Siemens Energy's technology portfolio and support the structured development of opportunities through the early phases of the project lifecycle.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Identify and support the development of gas turbine-based power generation opportunities across Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and the Caribbean Islands.
  • Engage with utilities, IPPs, industrial customers, EPCs, institutional stakeholders, and industry participants to build and advance project opportunities.
  • Assess project value drivers, customer needs, regulatory considerations, and commercial frameworks to define effective development strategies.
  • Contribute to project shaping activities, including technology positioning and early-stage opportunity structuring.
  • Monitor market, regulatory, and investment developments across the Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Caribbean Islands power sectors to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the power generation value chain and coordinate closely with Sales, Application Engineering, Government Affairs, and local management teams.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in power generation project development within Latin America, with exposure to Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and/or the Caribbean Islands.
  • Strong understanding of power markets, regulatory frameworks, utilities, independent power producers (IPPs), and industrial energy consumers across the assigned region, with proven experience identifying, developing, and advancing energy infrastructure opportunities from concept through commercial structuring.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate project bankability, stakeholder interests, and key business drivers, combined with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive approach to creating opportunities from the ground up.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, with availability to travel extensively (approximately 60-80%) throughout the assigned territory.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
