Retail - Cheese Associate, Full -Time
Reports to: Cheese Manager
Location: Woodstock
Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt (32 to 40 hrs)
Starting Pay Range: $17 to $19 Depending on Experience

SCHEDULED
• One Saturday or Sunday shift required each week. Availability for both weekend days is preferred
• Morning and evening shift availability required
• Holidays and summer months are our busiest times and require flexibility and commitment

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Cheese Associate, you play an important role in delivering one of the most unique and celebrated parts of our store. The Cheese department is a key part of the overall culinary experience at WFM-bringing together local favorites and globally sourced selections, along with thoughtfully paired provisions.
This role blends product knowledge, craftsmanship, and customer service. You'll help maintain beautiful, well-stocked cases while ensuring every product is handled with care, accuracy, and pride.
FIVE ROLES
1. Model Extra Mile Service - Create a welcoming, helpful, and engaging experience for every customer
2. Build Product Knowledge - Learn and share knowledge of cheeses and pairings with confidence
3. Execute Cutting & Packaging - Prepare products with precision, care, and adherence to standards
4. Maintain Cleanliness & Food Safety - Ensure all workspaces and displays meet sanitation expectations
5. Support Ordering & COGs Awareness - Contribute to proper inventory levels and minimize waste
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accurately receive orders against purchase orders
• Cut and wrap cheese in accordance with all health and safety standards
• Prepare and portion provisions items, ensuring clean and appealing presentation
• Ensure all products are properly labeled (date, price, product)
• Merchandise and stock cheese and provisions cases
• Assist with ECRS receiving and database entry as needed
