The TI tax department provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in and exposure to complex tax issues and related responsibilities entailed with working for a multinational publicly traded company. This position shares responsibility for the federal and state income tax forecast and compliance processes as well as involvement in special projects that may provide cash tax benefits, tax rate benefits and/or improve, tighten and streamline processes.

Specifically, this role is responsible for the following: Assist with complex federal and state income tax return preparation Participate in various aspects of tax compliance, such as tax calculations for fixed assets, stock compensation, and R&D credit, and managing inputs and consolidated return tie-outs in the tax compliance software.

Assist with the federal and state quarterly estimated payment, extension and provision processes Research tax technical issues and communicate the implications for TI tax compliance in a clear and concise manner Participate in various tax planning activities and assist with special projects Identify and lead process improvement initiatives that streamline and influence TI-level processes within the tax function Support efforts to defend US tax filings upon audit by the IRS What you will gain from this role: Foundational Tax Expertise: Build strong knowledge in US and state tax compliance while expanding your understanding of complex tax regulations

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required (CPA or CPA eligible and/or Master's degree in taxation or accounting a plus) 2+ years of accounting or tax adjacent work experience including internships (experience at a large corporation with multistate presence or at a large public accounting firm a plus) Preferred requirements: Academic and/or working knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements Familiarity with tax software gained through coursework, internships, or work experience Willingness to learn OneSource Income Tax and related suite of products Exposure to corporate federal income tax return preparation through coursework, internships, or work experience Exposure to state corporate tax returns in both separate and combined reporting jurisdictions through coursework, internships, or work experience Academic and/or working knowledge of multistate tax concepts or willingness to learn complex reporting jurisdictions Strong research skills demonstrated through academic projects and familiarity with online research databases Willingness to learn tax specific research tools such as RIA Checkpoint or BNA/Bloomberg Experience with data analytics tools (Excel or Alteryx) or business software (SAP, BPC, Business Objects) through coursework, internships, or work experience Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently and effectively under pressure and manage deadlines Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to multi-task in a dual-reporting role
