Job description

Mid-Level, With guidance from more senior engineers and in coordination with Government, perform a variety of network engineering tasks, which are broad in nature and are related to the design and implementation of integrated networks, including labor, hardware, software and support facilities and/or equipment. Plan and perform network engineering research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with network design, engineering and customer specifications. Coordinate the activities of Network Technicians assigned to specific network engineering projects. Perform with some latitude for independent actions and decisions.

Job Description:

• Design, engineering, configuration, testing, and documentation of HOSC network architectures in a multi-vendor, multi-protocol environment.

•Implement network changes such as router and switch configurations requested by customers.

•Support Daily Operations and support customer Troubles Calls and issues.

Support HOSC Operations during high visibility or critical activities.

•Monitor systems health and status using available tools and techniques.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

•Excellent oral and written communication skills.

•Basic working knowledge of routed data protocols and hardware platforms.

•General understanding of network architectures.

•Ability to multi-task between multiple ongoing projects in order to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

Desired Skills:

•Knowledge of and experience using CISCO routers and switches as well as network CheckPoint firewalls.

Required Education/Experience:

Bachelor and 3 years expeirence or AA/AS 5 years

Clearance:

Must be able to attain a Public Trust Clearance.
