The Ark Veterinary Clinic is looking to add new teammates to our incredible growing team!
Job Duties for Reception include but are not limited to: providing outstanding client care including client education, answering telephones, greeting and assisting clients, gathering client and patient information, keeping clients up to date on their pet's status, filling medications, and conducting efficient client check-in and checkout, scanning and uploading documents to the patient's chart, incoming emails and text messages.
Job Duties as a Veterinary Assistant include but are not limited to: Assisting with patient care and treatment. Restraining animals during blood-draws and nail-trims. Aiding with routine diagnostic tests (i.e. Taking radiographs, running bloodwork, reading and reporting certain test results with the Veterinarian). Administering vaccines and/or medications under Veterinarian/Vet Tech supervision Maintaining & sterilize surgical instruments/equipment. Maintaining inventory and stocking. Cleaning/Disinfecting cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas of hospital. Ensuring that all estimates are signed when interacting with all clients. Depending on experience: Monitoring hospitalized pets/ Monitoring/aiding in caring for animals after surgery.
Preference will be given to individuals who have worked in the veterinary field. Surgical experience a plus.
Candidates should be warm and welcoming to our clients as they are the main face of the clinic and responsible for the majority of client communication to the team.

The Ideal candidate will have or be willing to cross-train as a Receptionist and a Veterinary Assistant.
At least 18 months in the veterinary field is a plus.
Four 9-9.5 hour shifts a week with the willingness to cover if necessary. Ability and willingness to work rotating weekends is mandatory.
