Job description

Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming is a newly constructed facility in a high-traffic area in Calvert City, Kentucky at the intersection of I-69 and I-24. The Property will feature nearly 240 state-of-the-art historical racing machines (“HRMs”), a sports bar and a retail sportsbook, simulcast wagering, and food and beverage offerings. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for leading the successful overall direction, administration, and coordination of all operating activities of Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming including Pre-opening activities, culture creation, staffing, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and the ongoing operations of historical racing machine operations, gaming operations, simulcast operations, sportsbook operations, and entertainment operations.

JOB SUMMARY

The Cash Operations Attendant is responsible for performing all cash-handling, redemption, counting, and drop activities within the property. This position supports both guest-facing transactions and back-of-house count operations to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance with all regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process guest transactions, including ticket/TITO redemptions, sports wagering vouchers, check cashing, and cash advances.
  • Place sports wagers for guests and redeem sports wagering vouchers for cash.
  • Accurately count and record assigned funds, maintaining balanced cash drawers and making vault exchanges as needed.
  • Verify and document personal identification for check and cash advance transactions.
  • Complete required documentation such as CTRs, W2Gs, and MTLs in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Issue and track player cards, redeem loyalty points for cash or prizes, and assist with tournament registration and special promotions.
  • Provide exceptional guest service by answering questions, resolving concerns, and creating a positive gaming experience.
  • Participate in drop team activities, including collecting and transporting gaming device drop boxes from HRM machines and sports wagering kiosks.
  • Safeguard un-audited assets in storage carts and ensure secure handling throughout the count process.
  • Open drop boxes, empty contents, and process currency through counting machines.
  • Record cash and paperwork activity on count sheets and verify strapped/bundled currency.
  • Key transaction and count data into property systems.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the count room and work areas.
  • Assist with large-scale events, promotional activities, and special assignments as needed.
  • Adhere to all cash handling, count room, and cage operations policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all cash operations activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Consistently demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in all transactions and counts.
  • Follow all regulatory requirements and internal controls without exception.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.
  • Must be willing to push a cart that can weigh up to 100lbs.
  • Must be willing to work on-call during low staffing conditions.
  • Must be able to work an alternate schedule with a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice.

Exhibit strong customer service skills when interacting with guests.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of cashiering or banking experience in a high-paced environment preferred.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license and a Race and Sportsbook Employee License.
