Job description

Position: Guest Service Agent
At the DoubleTree by Hilton New York - LaGuardia Airport, we believe every guest interaction is an opportunity to make someone's day a little warmer - starting with our famous cookie at check-in. We're looking for a Guest Service Agent who takes pride in delivering exceptional hospitality and wants to be part of a team that values professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for our guests.
If you love creating memorable guest experiences and thrive in a fast-paced hotel environment, we'd love to meet you.
About the Role
As a Guest Service Agent, you'll be the face of our hotel - responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-in and check-out, and ensuring every guest feels valued from the moment they arrive to the moment they depart. You'll work closely with our Front Office team to deliver the kind of service that keeps guests coming back.
What You'll Do
  • Deliver courteous, professional, and timely check-in and check-out service
  • Ensure guest needs and requests are met and followed through to resolution
  • Make and confirm reservations, and verify daily rates and availability
  • Maintain accuracy in cash handling and Front Desk bank/drawer balances
  • Conduct daily bucket checks and complete shift checklists, reports, and logs
  • Complete courtesy calls within 20 minutes of guest check-in
  • Identify opportunities to support future business and enhance the guest experience
  • Encourage guests to share feedback through surveys and TripAdvisor
  • Securely manage guest valuables via the hotel safe deposit box
  • Answer and direct calls professionally, in line with hotel standards
  • Assist with guest relocations to nearby hotels when necessary
  • Keep work areas organized, stocked, and guest-ready
  • Comply with all Hilton and company standards, as outlined in the Employee Handbook

What We're Looking For
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience; hotel experience strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A warm, professional demeanor and the ability to stay composed under pressure
  • Comfort working with hotel systems (OnQ experience a plus)
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain standing for extended periods
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

At Palette Hotels, we are dedicated to creating and sustaining meaningful hospitality careers for our associates. We support our associates with highly competitive salaries, outstanding health, benefits, extensive training and development programs, promotion within the organization, and a positive team-based culture where people make the difference.
