Job description

The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking a Young Adult Services (YAS) Coach to join our team in the Torrington, CT area. Our residential, outreach, and direct care staff establish life-changing relationships with our participants and provide opportunities to optimize their independence, rehabilitation and recovery. 

The Young Adult Services (YAS) Coach provides intense, one on one, support to consumers identified by the Western CT Mental Health Network Torrington Office Young Adult Program. These individuals are in need of increased guidance to assist them in assimilating into their community while understanding their rights and adhering to the responsibilities of independent living.  The position exists under the joint collaboration of CHD and The Western Connecticut Mental Health Network (WCMHN) Torrington Office Young Adult Program.

REQUIRMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience working with psychiatric disorders or co-occurring population preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution preferred
  • Registered & insured vehicle and approved driving record check
  • Approved criminal background check (CORI)

1st shift, 8:30am-4:30pm. Days on: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Days off: Saturday, Sunday.
