Position Overview

Chat and Change Counseling, LLC is looking for a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a full-time therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing trauma-informed care to individuals navigating the complex challenges associated with trauma and mental health conditions. This remote position allows for flexibility while focusing on improving patient outcomes through specialized mental health interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to gauge the severity of clients' experiences and to develop appropriate, tailored treatment plans.
• Create and implement individualized treatment strategies aimed at trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the reinforcement of coping mechanisms.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, using modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to help clients process and heal from their trauma.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to provide a safe space for clients to exchange experiences and develop skills around coping with trauma.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to ensure holistic and integrated client care.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention support to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization.
• Educate clients and their families on the effects of trauma, coping strategies, and available therapeutic resources.
• Keep accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance trauma-informed practices.
• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to incorporate into treatment modalities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and other adverse life events. Our patient population encompasses a diverse range of ages and backgrounds, requiring a therapist who is not only knowledgeable about trauma-related disorders but is also culturally competent and empathetic. You will support clients on their journey from trauma to resilience, providing them with necessary tools and resources to enhance their mental well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care.
• Expertise in trauma-related disorders, treatment methodologies, and resilience-building strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to clients.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems, as well as computer applications related to telehealth service delivery.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering a variety of trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Background implementing community outreach programs related to mental health awareness.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations regarding mental health practice.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, reflective of your experience and qualifications.
