Enrollment Counselor Job Description

TUW is seeking a motivated, bright and intuitive individual to join our Enrollment Counseling team. The successful candidate must be results-oriented, student-centric, and have strong communication and listening skills.

Duties:

Engage and serve as primary point of contact for inquiring students

Conduct phone, chat, and emailed-based communication with prospective students

Deliver program information and answer student questions

Maintain effective follow-up strategies

Identify and guide well-suited students through the admissions process: inquiry to enrollment

Interdepartmental cooperation: Registrar, Educational Advising, Financial Aid, etc.

Report to the Director of Enrollment Counseling

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (Required)

3-5 years of Admissions experience (from an accredited degree-granting university)

Successful Enrollment Advisor possess the following knowledge, skills and attributes:

Effective communication, both written and verbal

Excellent phone skills

Student-focused customer service

Excellent organizational Skills

• Proficient with all Microsoft applications

• Trainable: accepts and implements coaching and feedback

Comfortable being measured on enrollment targets and performance metrics

• High integrity and ethical conduct

• Self-disciplined; focused; solution oriented; ability to work autonomously with a high level of initiative in order to achieve enrollment results.
