Job description

This is a 1099 Contractor position
Come drive for West Coast Trans Intermodal! We are seeking dependable Class A Night Drivers to help assist with our night shipments. A typical shift is from 1600-0200, with the ability to work up to 50 hours a week. 
A successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of at least 80,000 pounds, ensuring efficient and timely cargo transport. 
Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck
  • Access all LA/LB terminals safely and timely
  • Properly track and document activity log
  • Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
  • Inspect truck before and after trip
Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in with pulling containers from LA/LB terminals
  • Operate chassis 20' 40' 45' and expendables
  • Dry Van Experience is a plus
  • Commercial driver's license
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong work ethic
  • Minimum 3 years of Class A driving experience is required
  • Clean driving record
Compensation:
  • This is a 1099 Contractor position. 
  • Pay is per hour or flat rate for specialized lanes
