ABOUT THE ROLE

The Truck Unloader will be responsible for unloading product off trucks, using hands and arms in handling and following safety and related work procedures. Aside from unloading trucks, his/her job description also entails properly arranging or storing of items, attaches identifying labels or inbound cases.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

Hourly, Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Monday - Friday (4:00AM - 12:45PM)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Handles loads carefully following lifting safety rules
  • Inspects trucks before beginning operations to make sure they are clean and safe
  • Work as a team to maintain minimum cases per hour productivity requirements and works with a sense of urgency
  • Operate and inspect warehouse equipment to perform role (Stock Chaser, Pallet Jack, etc.)
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies through research and physical counts
  • Act professionally and remain focused while working
  • Cross train in multiple areas, putaway, puller, packer, etc.
  • Safely operate all warehouse equipment
  • Follow directions of leadership
  • Perform cleaning activities as required
  • Maintain a safe and clean warehouse
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read and speak English.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Ability to operate a warehouse equipment and machinery.
  • Must be comfortable using electronic devices.
  • Can lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information.
  • Must be flexible with start and departure time changing.
  • Ability to work overtime when needed.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Responsible for any additional duties assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

In performing the job of a Shipping Supervisor, the job will be divided between office time and floor presence which may include standing and walking for 4+ hours per day. Additionally, the position will require the operations of a stock chaser to move throughout the warehouse. Moderate Hand-Eye coordination, near vision, far vision and hearing are required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool.
  • The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
