Physician – Radiation Oncologist
Location: Keesler AFB, MS 39534
Shift: Monday–Friday, 0700–1700
Duration: Full time
Education & Qualifications
• MD or DO medical degree; successful completion of Residency in Radiation Oncology
• Board Certified with the American Board of Radiology (ABR)
• Current Mississippi medical license
• Minimum 24 months of experience within the previous 3 years
• No additional certifications required beyond Basic Life Support and those obtained during residency
Job Responsibilities
Patient Care
• Review medical records and imaging to prepare for new patient visits, follow-ups, simulations, and on-treatment visits
• Direct staff to obtain outside records and coordinate with non-military facilities as needed
• Formulate treatment plans using national guidelines, medical literature, and clinical judgment
• Manage routine cases including breast, genitourinary, head and neck, CNS, gynecologic, thoracic, gastrointestinal, and hematologic malignancies, as well as benign conditions (e.g., heterotopic ossification, keloids, acoustic schwannomas, trigeminal neuralgia, Graves' ophthalmopathy)
Clinical Competencies
• Nasopharyngoscopy
• Stereotactic Body/Ablative Radiation Therapy (SBRT/SABR)
