Starting Wage

$90,000 -$110,000 yearly depending on experience

Location

Hybrid position working at our Headquarters in Vista, CA twice per week

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accounting and financial reporting support for charitable giving by ensuring thorough review of organizations, invoices, payments, tracking, reporting, communication, and electronic record retention. Audit donation receipts for cash and non-cash charitable contributions.
  • Maintain accounting for related party entities including Arctic Owl Holdings, Eagle Convocation, Dr. Bronners Europe, Bronner Technical Services and Dr. Bronners Family Foundation.
  • Prepare month-end related party journal entries.
  • Assist with inter-company reconciliations and month-end journal entries.
  • Provide backup to the Banking/Cash Management Specialist.
  • Participate in special reporting projects and audits as requested.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Participate in creation and updating of policies and procedures related to areas of responsibility.
  • Actively identify and participate in process improvement initiatives to improve quality of data, minimize unnecessary expense, decrease risk, and improve internal controls.
  • Adhere to all department and company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Other duties as assigned within job scope.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of direct experience in accounting
  • Bachelors degree in accounting or related financial field
  • Working experience in ERP systems or other comparable accounting systems
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, with particularly high skill-level in Excel
