Job description

SUMMARY:
Florida Tile, a leading tile manufacturer and distributor in the nation, has an opening for a Showroom Design Consultant/Customer Service Representative. We seek an innovative thinker passionate about interior design. Responsibilities include helping architects, contractors, and homeowners choose tiles, generating sales, and processing customer orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales:
โ€ข Develop and maintain a trade client base via in-house meeting(s) as well as telephone and internet communications
โ€ข Proactively identify new opportunities and sales channels
โ€ข Promote the branch showroom for use as a selection center for the A&D trade, including the use of the showroom for trade events and promotions
โ€ข Coordinate sales efforts with the OSR/BCSS sales team via regular meetings and the sharing of leads and other pertinent market information
โ€ข Protect the integrity of Florida Tile's pricing rules by effectively qualifying customers and their respective price templates.
Operations and Support:
โ€ข Assist the branch staff in all aspects of customer service, order processing, and customer contact (call backs)
โ€ข Assist the branch staff in the performance of daily tasks as directed by BOM/BM/RM, to include, but not limited to, the daily deposit, daily invoicing, inventory receiving and locating, etc.
โ€ข Responsible for maintaining the showroom and keeping all displayed products up to date, correctly identified (labeled), and merchandised in a manner that projects a user-friendly and informative environment
โ€ข Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
โ€ข Experience in the tile or flooring industry is a plus
โ€ข Minimum of 12 months retail or sales experience
โ€ข Education in marketing or design field a plus
โ€ข Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
โ€ข Knowledge of inside sales techniques
โ€ข Excellent verbal and written communication skills
โ€ข Must have a valid driver's license
โ€ข Ability to travel to local customers
โ€ข Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
โ€ข High School diploma or GED required
