Summary Statement
The successful applicant will provide one or more of the following nursing services including, but not limited to, assessments of direct care and review of nursing care plans and other evaluative clinical documents; education on health and infection control issues; evaluation of health care facilities' infection prevention policies and their implementation; monitoring of CNA schools and other clinical training/certification programs and agencies to ensure compliance with health care regulations; promotion and protection of the health of the entire population; prevention of illness, injury, or disability; and/or facilitation of the delivery of health care services.\r\n
Essential Functions
Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of every job duty for any one position in the class. Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Provides or evaluates direct nursing care.\r\n Develops, implements and/or reviews nursing care plans.\r\n Provides health care instruction and guidance to individuals, families, community groups and/or nursing home facilities in the management of their health care needs.\r\n Maintains an effective working relationship with other members of the treatment team.\r\n Prepares and submits records, reports, evaluations and forms.\r\n Participates in and make recommendations regarding quality assurance activities.\r\n\r\n
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS for Registered Nurse III\r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:\r\n\r\n At least two years' experience as a Registered Nurse OR a Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing and at least one year experience as a Registered Nurse OR a Master's degree or higher in Nursing.\r\n Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license OR multi-state compact license.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Conditions of Hire
