JOB TITLE: Marina Manager

DEPARTMENT: Management

REPORTS TO: General Manager

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Marina Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the marina, ensuring that all activities align with budgetary guidelines and operational goals. This role requires a strong focus on improving guest services, enhancing performance and efficiency, and maximizing profitability. The Marina Manager will work in collaboration with the General Manager, Home Office, and other team members to foster an environment of teamwork and excellence. This position demands a proactive leader who exemplifies exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional company image in all interactions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works with the General Manager to achieve financial results according to the annual operating and capital budgets
  • Supervise all marina operations to ensure prompt, courteous and safe service to all customers
  • Understand and comply with government regulations pertaining to marina operations and handle all aspects of governmental reporting and compliance including but not limited to weights and measures, OSHA, EPA, and Corp of Engineers
OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work performed and composed of a variety of different tasks, calling for use of judgment, and compliance with policies and procedures. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy. Manages several projects at one time and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of employees.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Two to Three (2-3) years previous management experience which included direction of employees, accounting and related budgeting activities, inventory control, advertising, and customer relations. Marine related experience required
  • General accounting knowledge and basic understanding of financial statements
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees, customers, tenants, vendors, and government personnel
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifteen (15) pounds
  • Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency
  • Must have flexible schedule to include working weekends and holidays during busy season
WAGE RANGE

$85,000 - $90,000
