## Director of Distribution ManagementApplylocations: Rio Las Vegas, Nevadatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: JR101470**WHAT YOU’LL DO**The Director of Distribution Management oversees the property's distribution strategy, ensuring accurate rates and inventory, optimal channel performance, and revenue growth across all distribution platforms. This role partners with internal teams, technology providers, and third-party channels to maintain distribution integrity, resolve issues, protect brand standards, and build strategic business relationships.**ROLE EXPECTATIONS*** Manage all online distribution channels, including OTAs, wholesalers, metasearch partners, GDS, brand websites, and direct booking channels.* Ensure accurate distribution of rates, inventory, restrictions, and promotions across all connected systems.* Monitor and maintain rate parity while identifying and resolving discrepancies that could negatively impact revenue or guest confidence.* Evaluate channel performance and recommend strategies to optimize channel mix and reduce acquisition costs.* Serve as the subject matter expert for CRS, Channel Manager, PMS, and distribution platform connectivity.* Monitor ARI (Availability, Rates, and Inventory) delivery to ensure successful updates across all partners.* Troubleshoot connectivity failures and coordinate resolutions with internal IT teams and external vendors.* Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and distribution technology enhancements.* Analyze channel production, booking trends, conversion metrics, and distribution costs to identify revenue opportunities.* Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into channel performance and market trends.* Present actionable insights and recommendations to Revenue Management leadership and executive stakeholders.* Support forecasting and budgeting efforts through distribution performance analysis.* Maintain strong working relationships with OTA market managers, distribution partners, connectivity providers, and technology vendors.* Coordinate promotional campaigns and merchandising opportunities that align with revenue objectives.* Ensure contractual obligations and content standards are maintained across all distribution partners.* Conduct regular business reviews with key partners to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.* Collaborate closely with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Reservations, Front Office, and Information Technology to align distribution strategies with commercial objectives.* Support new rate plan creation, package implementation, and promotional launches across all distribution channels.* Assist in identifying operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance distribution accuracy and speed.* Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on distribution systems and best practices.* Build a team to drive domestic and international business**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES*** May provide functional oversight and training for Revenue Operations Managers and Distribution Specialists.* Serve as the departmental lead for distribution-related projects and vendor implementations.**REQUIREMENTS*** Strong knowledge of hotel distribution systems, channel managers, CRS, PMS, and OTA extranets.* Experience managing rate plans, inventory controls, and distribution connectivity.* Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.* Excellent organizational, communication, and project management abilities.* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.* Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays when business needs require.**PREFERRED*** Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Revenue Management, or related field.* 3–5 years of experience in hotel distribution, revenue management, or eCommerce.* Experience with systems such as SHR CRS, IBS, SynXis, SiteMinder, HBSi, or similar hospitality platforms.* Knowledge of OTA optimization, metasearch marketing, and digital distribution strategies.* Experience supporting branded and independent hotel operations.* Experience managing a team with up to 3 direct reports.**CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS*** Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*** Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.* Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.* Ability to travel to meetings or industry conferences as needed.**WORKING CONDITIONS*** Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled office environment and may include exposure to various operational areas of the resort.* Position requires frequent interaction with technology platforms, vendors, and cross-functional departments to support revenue optimization initiatives.*Rio Las Vegas is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
