Join Amentum as a Software Simulation Engineer and play a role in improving our modeling and simulation design! Be a part of developing what comes next for our military and spearheading changes in our communication methods for Integrated Air and Missile Defense. Software Simulation Engineer Responsibilities Includes: * Supporting hardware/software integration efforts. * Conducting independent assessments of software development and related data models * Supporting integration, troubleshooting, and deployment of emulators/simulators. * Participating in internal/external reviews, technical interchange meetings, working groups, and software life-cycleactivities. * Providing regular status to leadership, identify risks, and work proactively. * Preparing software deliveries, Version Description or delivery Documents, and other configuration management related material. * Performing configuration management on UNIX/ LINUX based platforms using UNIX/LINUXtools and utilities. * Performing system configuration/modification on Windows; Performing system compiles, builds, and distribution of software that includes developing: Build procedures; Quality Assurance check procedures; Configuration Item tracking processes; and CR management processes. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields. * Shall have a demonstrated knowledge of the Configuration Management (CM) disciplines associated with the control of software source code, environments and reproducibility principles, and the principles of Change Control Management, Identification Management, and Release Management, and experience using MS Office products (Word, Access, Project, and PowerPoint). * Five (5) years of experience with software integration for a large software embedded system such as a weapon system or combat system including all of the following: Software identification, change control, auditing, status accounting, system compile and build, software release management, and software release distribution; Using code management tools for LINUX applications such as GIT * Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance. Desired Skills & Experience: * Minimum 5 years of experience in cross-program SIM-to-SIM integration and testing, including HWIL and HLA. * Minimum 4 years of experience in software end-to-end testing and/or HWIL testing * Strong background in simulator/emulator design, development, and use for integration and V&V. * Knowledge of software architectures, combat or fire control software, requirements development, RF communications, and TCP/IP implementations. * Experience developing procedures, specifications, and non-conformance documentation. * Familiarity with C, C++, Java, scripting languages, XML, and object-oriented development. * Strong communication skills for multidisciplinary technical coordination. Compensation Details:
