Job description

We are looking for a Sr Project Manager to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Leads and executes mid-sized projects or a definable portion of a larger program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.

  • Collaborates with diverse teams to ensure project objectives are achieved on time and within budget.

Salary: $113,900.00 - $189,800.00 per year

Your Challenge:

  • Defines, launches, and drives mission-critical strategic and operational initiatives in core projects.

  • Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.

  • Creates a method of change management including ownership of a documentation library, communication plans, process training, etc.

  • May be responsible for project management tasks and development of standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting.

  • Responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned programs and for supporting new business development by leading proposals.

  • Manage, coordinate and control Project Work Plan execution to achieve project technical, cost and schedule objectives.

  • Efficiently and effectively work towards goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple constraints.

  • Lead the project team and regular project meetings to monitor and drive progress toward project objectives.

  • Maintain effective customer communications, ensuring that all customer requirements and expectations are addressed effectively.

  • Address and resolve project issues pertaining to project work scope, technical requirements, quality, schedule, resource assignments, cost customer interface and other project related activities.

  • Communicate project progress, issues, and/or resolution options to project team members' customers and EMD management.

  • Review and control project cost, including the coordination and certification of Estimate at Complete dates.

  • Develop and monitor the Project Risk Management Plan as part of project planning and execution.

  • Interact with Sourcing and suppliers to plan for and secure the materials needed for the project and future production.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent with appropriate course complete to support a project management team.

  • 7+ years project management or project leadership experience.

  • Excellent organization, communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes and procedures.

  • Project Management Professional Certification Preferred

  • Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
