UCI School of Medicine – Health Sciences Clinical Professor Department of Radiological Sciences

Position: Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series, Open ranks

Due to planned growth of imaging services, the Department of Radiological Sciences anticipates openings for full-time professorial position in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series for clinicians with expertise in any of the following subspecialties:

  • Breast Imaging
  • Abdominal Radiology
  • Cardiovascular and Thoracic Radiology
  • Musculoskeletal Radiology
  • Vascular and Interventional Radiology

Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree. Training in a fellowship program is highly desirable. Position includes clinical service, participation in research programs and teaching of medical students and residents. Academic appointment rank (Assistant, Associate, or full Professor) and will be recommended based on training and experience. Candidates must be American Board of Radiology board certified or eligible and eligible for a California medical license.

The University of California, Irvine has two academic medical centers: A 411-bed hospital in Orange and a 144-bed hospital in Irvine. Both medical centers are equipped with state-of-the‑art medical imaging equipment. There are collegial relationships with all services. UCI offers a very competitive salary and excellent benefits with an incentive plan. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Salary Information – Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAARAD salary benchmarks for subspecialties in radiology ranging from $417,412 to $590,420. The posted UC salary scales set the base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan , which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
