Drive Development Forward as a Civil Site Engineer — Create the Foundations for Growing Communities

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Civil Site Engineer to join our Land Development Team in Duluth, GA. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering innovative site development solutions for commercial, residential, and institutional projects. Working alongside a talented multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute technical expertise, guide project execution, and help create practical, buildable designs that support growth and strengthen communities.


  • Independently complete engineering design, technical analysis, and preparation of plans, specifications, and reports for land development projects including site layout, grading, drainage, and utility infrastructure
  • Develop design calculations, technical memorandums, and construction documents under the guidance of senior engineers or technical leadership
  • Identify and resolve technical discrepancies, applying standard engineering practices, local development codes, and permitting requirements
  • Monitor project progress and coordinate design efforts to support schedules, budgets, and constructability
  • Take responsibility for significant portions of land development projects with oversight from senior staff or management, including coordination with survey, environmental, and permitting efforts

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Minimum of 3 years of civil site design required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Strong working and theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply engineering knowledge in practical settings
  • Understanding of QA/QC procedures and regulatory standards
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office required
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
