Job description

Senior Associate, Internal Sales Consultant

State Street Investment Management is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Internal Sales Consultant to join our US Wealth team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business with intermediary clients within the Broker Dealer and RIA channels. You will partner closely with Regional Consultants to help drive adoption of our investment solutions and increase market share across assigned territories.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving business with clients in the highest areas of concentrated wealth within a specific territory. In addition to having direct ownership of intermediary clients, you will also collaborate with your external Regional Consultant.

As a Senior Associate, you will:

  • Territory Planning & Execution: Partner with the Regional Consultant to develop and execute territory business plans to expand market share, uncover new business opportunities, and grow the distribution of SSIM's investment solutions (e.g., ETFs, model portfolios, cash solutions).
  • Sales Process & Collaboration: Orchestrate a team-based selling approach by leveraging SSIM's investment expertise, specialist resources, and thought leadership to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet client needs and drive business growth.
  • Client Engagement & Outreach: Deliver an exceptional client experience through proactive outreach and quality outbound client engagement activity across multiple channels, including phone, email, video conferencing, and virtual meetings.
  • Business Leadership & Risk Excellence: Demonstrate a commitment to risk excellence while fostering strong internal and external partnerships, contributing to strategic initiatives, and supporting the overall success of the business.

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams and client segments.
  • Experience in wealth management, intermediary distribution, or financial advisor-facing roles is preferred.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred, ideally within the investment management, wealth management, or broader financial services industry.
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 63 licenses required (or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date)
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong interest in capital markets and investment products (e.g., ETFs, model portfolios, cash solutions)
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams and client segments.
  • Experience in wealth management, intermediary distribution, or financial advisor-facing roles is preferred.
  • Existing relationships within the Broker Dealer, RIA, or broader intermediary channels are beneficial but not required.
  • Progress toward or attainment of professional designations such as the CFA, CFP, CIMA, or an MBA is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically.

Salary Range:

$52,000 - $84,760 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
