The Senior Director of Finance, Electronic Industrial Solutions Group (EISG) reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and serves as the senior finance leader for Keysight's Electronic Industrial Solutions Group (EISG), a $2B externally reported business segment.


As a trusted advisor to both the EISG President and the CFO, this finance leader partners closely with the EISG leadership team to drive profitable growth, improve operational performance, optimize resource allocation, and support strategic decision-making across the business. The successful candidate combines exceptional business judgment, financial expertise, analytical rigor, and leadership to influence decisions, challenge assumptions, and help the organization achieve its strategic and financial objectives.


The role has overall responsibility for EISG financial planning, forecasting, performance management, investment analysis, financial governance, and business partnership, and is the primary interface between EISG and the corporate finance organization.


Responsibilities

  • Provide overall financial leadership for EISG, a $2B externally reported business segment, ensuring the organization achieves its financial commitments while advancing its long-term strategic objectives.

  • Serve as the primary financial advisor to the EISG President and leadership team, providing objective analysis, strategic insight, and constructive challenge to improve business performance and decision-making.

  • Lead the development of the annual operating plan, long-range strategic plan, and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment between financial commitments and business priorities.

  • Drive disciplined capital allocation across R&D investments, acquisitions, capital expenditures, and operating expenditures to maximize long-term growth, profitability, and shareholder value.

  • Partner with business leaders to accelerate revenue growth, expand software mix and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), improve gross margin, increase operating leverage, and enhance overall profitability.

  • Lead the financial evaluation and prioritization of R&D investments, ensuring resources are allocated toward the highest-return growth opportunities aligned with business strategy.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, improve productivity, enhance financial insight, and strengthen operational execution across EISG and enterprise functions.

  • Lead the transformation of the finance function by championing AI and advanced analytics, to simplify processes, standardize reporting, automate workflows, deliver deeper business insight, improve forecasting accuracy, and drive operational efficiency.

  • Monitor business performance and market trends, proactively recommending and implementing actions to optimize business performance while maintaining organizational agility as business conditions evolve.

  • Partner with the Vice President of Corporate Development to evaluate mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategic investments, and post-close integration activities.

  • Provide financial leadership for strategic customer opportunities, pricing decisions, commercial terms, and complex solution agreements to maximize profitable growth while appropriately managing risk.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX, revenue recognition requirements, corporate financial policies, and all applicable regulatory and internal control requirements.

  • Oversee all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities for EISG, partnering closely with Enterprise Finance, External Financial Reporting, Investor Relations, Tax, and other corporate organizations to support internal and external reporting requirements.

  • Develop meaningful financial and operational performance metrics, providing actionable insights that improve execution and accountability.

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance organization by attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required. CPA and/or MBA preferred.

  • Fifteen or more years of progressive financial leadership experience with a publicly traded company, high-growth private company, or equivalent organization.

  • Demonstrated success serving as a strategic business partner to senior leaders in a complex global business, balancing strategic thinking with operational execution while driving accountability and delivering measurable business results.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial analysis into actionable business recommendations that improve growth, profitability, and operational performance.

  • Deep understanding of financial planning, forecasting, business performance management, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence strategic business decisions through financial insight, sound business judgment, and data-driven analysis.

  • Experience leading finance organizations within a complex, matrixed global company.

  • Strong leadership presence with exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, including the ability to effectively engage leaders across all levels of the organization.

  • Experience leading teams with a demonstrated commitment to developing talent and building high-performing organizations.

  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, business integrations, pricing decisions, and strategic investment evaluations.


The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.


Colorado Pay Range MIN $196,100 MAX $326,830
