Candidates must be located in or willing to commute throughout the Portland metro area and surrounding markets, including Vancouver, Salem, and nearby communities.

What Youll Do

Perform full-cycle accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, billing, payroll support, and revenue recognition

Review accounting records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP
Research and resolve account discrepancies, variances, and accounting issues
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and variance analysis
Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation
Help improve accounting procedures, close processes, internal controls, and reporting practices
Assist with audit requests, tax preparation, and external reporting requirements
Work directly with Accounting Managers, Controllers, CFOs, business owners, and client accounting teams
Support multiple client engagements while managing competing priorities and deadlines

What Were Looking For

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Three or more years of progressive accounting experience
Previous Senior Accountant or similar accounting experience preferred
Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and month-end close
Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Strong general ledger and account analysis experience
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or variance analysis is a plus
Experience across multiple industries or business environments preferred
Familiarity with systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting platforms
Strong Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable working independently and communicating directly with clients and business leaders
Willingness to travel to client locations throughout Portland, Vancouver, Salem, and surrounding areas

Why NOW CFO

Work with a variety of clients, industries, and accounting systems
Build broader technical accounting and financial reporting experience
Strengthen your client-facing and problem-solving skills
Gain exposure to Accounting Manager, Controller, and CFO-level responsibilities
Solve new accounting challenges instead of repeating the same routine
Join a collaborative consulting team with opportunities for continued growth

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant who wants greater variety, broader exposure, and the opportunity to make an impact across multiple organizations.
