Job description

You will analyze our products through simulation and physical testing to develop system level optimized solutions for IC engine & electric power systems, fuel & air systems, filtration & aftertreatment systems, and battery & fuel cell electric systems.

To do this you will be applying knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, filtration, and combustion to assigned tasks to help integrate products & systems which deliver customer and regulatory requirements.

Roles available in Thermal & Fluid Systems include:

  • Combustion and Emissions Systems Engineer (Hybrid)
  • Aftertreatment Integration Engineer (Hybrid)
  • Engine and Aftertreatment Simulation Engineer (Hybrid)
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics Analyst (Hybrid)

In these applied science positions, you will utilize the core competencies of thermal and fluid sciences, employing and developing advanced analytical tools (including three-dimensional modeling) to answer key questions about the performance and architecture of a system or component. The results of this analysis drive decisions which ultimately lead to state-of-the-art, highly effective, environmentally friendly, and competitive products.

You will make an impact by:

  • Analytically investigating product, system and/or technology problems and recommending appropriate actions for problem resolution and/or optimization
  • Using your understanding of fundamental Physics to understand causal mechanisms, recommend appropriate action and assisting with documented problem resolutions.
  • Actively collaborating with key stakeholders and colleagues, using analysis results to impact and support the successful advancement of projects
  • Participating in problem resolution for moderately/high complex components, products, systems, subsystems, or services with a high degree of technical complexity and ambiguity and with accountability to the project team.
