Position Description:

Barrick is looking for an Analyst to join the Treasury team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Analyst will be responsible for a wide spectrum of finance and treasury activities and be a valued member of a small Treasury team.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage end-to-end bullion sales and settlement processes, including metal transfers, refinery coordination, banking transactions, royalty and streaming payments, and counterparty deliveries.
  • Execute treasury operational activities, including cash management, wire payments, short-term investments, SAP Treasury transactions, reporting, and treasury system administration.
  • Monitor market, credit, and financial risks related to metals, foreign exchange, energy, interest rates, and banking counterparties, ensuring effective risk management and compliance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks, refineries, and internal stakeholders while supporting KYC, compliance, internal controls, and treasury governance activities.
  • Coordinate with Accounting, Tax, Legal, and other business functions to ensure the accuracy of treasury transactions, financial reporting, and derivative activities.
  • Support capital market initiatives, senior management presentations, strategic projects, and continuous improvement efforts across the Treasury function.
  • Other special projects and duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Treasury, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required.
  • CPA, CFA, or progress toward a professional designation preferred.
  • Knowledge of Treasury Management Systems, SAP Treasury, Bloomberg, and/or Mineman preferred.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and accounting knowledge, including an interest in financial markets and derivative instruments.
  • Advanced attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, customer-focused approach.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
