Client Portfolio Manager
Introduction
The Client Portfolio Manager sits on Meketa Capital's Client Portfolio Management Team and will serve as a trusted, client-facing investment voice for Meketa Capital's alternative investment platform translating complex private markets strategies into clear, compelling insight for clients and prospects alike. This is a high-impact, relationship-driven role at the center of Meketa Capital's growth, working closely with Business Development and Client Service to deepen client relationships, guide clients through their investment journey, and win new business. Meketa seeks an experienced, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic individual with strong analytic abilities and relationship management skills.
Essential responsibilities:
  • Serve as a client-facing member of Meketa Capital's Client Portfolio Management Team, advising clients on private equity and infrastructure interval fund offerings, as well as broader portfolio topics including asset allocation and risk management.
  • Partner with Strategic Development, Business Development, Marketing, and Investment teams to develop and execute Meketa Capital's strategic initiatives and growth objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Meketa Investment Group to leverage investment expertise, performance analytics, market insights, and operational resources in support of client needs.
  • Support all post-investment client service activities, including client reporting, performance analysis, investment market commentary, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Provide clients with ongoing guidance and education to help them navigate their investment journey and achieve their long-term financial objectives.
Job responsibilities:
  • Strong working understanding of Meketa Capital's product offerings and the alternative investment landscape, with the ability to translate that understanding into client-ready analysis and materials, working alongside Meketa investment professionals and subject matter experts.
  • Support the business development team across all stages of the client prospecting process, including RFPs, digital or in-person meetings, investment and operational due diligence, and new business presentations.
  • Support the business development team across all stages of the client servicing process, including periodic investment reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across products, client services, investments, to drive collaboration, efficiencies, and outcomes for Meketa Capital.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities to help build the business and brand.
  • Travel may be required for client meetings, as well as internal meetings/training/events and conferences. Travel is expected up to 20-30% of the time.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the investment industry.
  • Strong foundation in economics, finance, and statistics.
  • Working knowledge of the investment industry, with a focus on private markets.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with an asset management firm, investment consulting firm, or institutional plan sponsor.
  • Client service and marketing experience supporting the RIA and intermediary investor channels preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence, with exceptional attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • CFA, CAIA, and/or MBA designation preferred.
