Job Description Summary

Cardinal Point Wealth Management is seeking a career-oriented Senior Private Wealth Manager/Portfolio Manager for a team leadership role to managing 200-300 households across Canada and the United States. This is a full-time role for the ideal candidate located in Calgary, Alberta, who has at least 5 years' experience managing a book of business, is a good communicator, organized, and has strong process acumen. The ideal candidate is fully licensed in Canada, and US/cross-border licensing and experience, with some financial planning experience, a plus. This is a great opportunity for a career-oriented leader to build and lead a client team at Cardinal Point.

Job DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities
  • Client relationship management responsibilities for 200-300 households, leading a team consisting of an associate private wealth manager and a client relationship specialist, to provide investment management and financial planning services in accordance with the clientsโ€™ contracts and expectations set for the client relationships, on behalf of the clients and the Company.
  • Work alongside a team of financial planners, trust/estate specialists, life insurance specialists, and cross-border specialists.
  • Complete annual (at minimum) client portfolio management reviews which include the completion of Know your Client (KYC), AML/ATF, and FATCA compliance documentation.
  • Engaging with clients to establish investment objectives, portfolio asset allocation guidelines, and investment policy statements for individual clients.
  • Asset allocation modeling and developing transition plans to migrate existing legacy holdings of new clients to model allocations.
  • Coordination of the tax and investment processes with the clientsโ€™ tax professionals and outside investment professionals.
  • Coordinate and oversee financial planning within the companyโ€™s financial planning standards and expectations for client service.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 yearsโ€™ experience managing a book of business CFA or CIM required, Series 66 or equivalent is a plus Bachelorโ€™s degree required
  • This position is an exempt position.
  • The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $150,000-180,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicantโ€™s skill set.
  • The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package.
  • Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
