This position is 100% onsite within a home care environment, allowing you to provide personalized therapy in the comfort of patients' homes. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations by reviewing patient history and performing specific assessments to inform treatment planning.
• Effectively communicating evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring their involvement in the goal-setting process.
• Demonstrating proficiency in implementing treatment protocols tailored to each patient’s specific needs based on evaluation findings.
• Consulting with interdisciplinary healthcare teams as required and documenting changes in patient conditions to adjust care plans accordingly.
• Ensuring complete and accurate documentation of patient care activities, including legible daily encounter notes and interim progress summaries.
• Managing time efficiently to meet productivity standards while maintaining an organized schedule.
• Engaging in community marketing initiatives to enhance departmental visibility and patient outreach.
• Adhering to governmental and accreditation regulations in all therapeutic practices.
• Taking the initiative in professional development through continuing education opportunities and serving as a clinical instructor for students.
• Actively participating in workflows that support patient access to care and engaging in quality improvement measures through data analysis.

Your role will primarily involve working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. This may include post-operative rehabilitation for hip or knee replacements, fracture recoveries, and those managing conditions such as arthritis or sports-related injuries. Your expertise is vital in guiding patients toward functional recovery, improving their quality of life, and restoring their independence.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Current American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

While prior work experience is not required, candidates with a background in orthopedic rehabilitation or home healthcare settings will be viewed favorably. Experience with electronic health record systems and familiarity with evidence-based treatment protocols can enhance your candidacy.
