New Product Introduction (NPI) Launch Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
The New Product Introduction (NPI) Launch Manager will oversee the end-to-end process of launching new products. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and ensure successful product launches from design to market introduction.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Product Development Process (PDP) / New Product Introduction (NPI): Co-own the PDP Phase with NPD, including deliverables, gate reviews, and readiness documentation, ensure all functions follow processes and establish manufacturing readiness levels/tiers
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Tooling and Sourcing teams to execute launch plans, manufacturing readiness levels and launch tiers. Launch plans combine various teams to ensure actions are assigned and actioned
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to ensure smooth launches, this includes equipment, diagnostics, and training from plant readiness
  • Quality and Compliance Management: Oversee quality plan execution, documentation is audit ready and leading procedures and inspections plans
  • New Design Integration (NDI): Participate in NDI meetings to address issues, release long lead-time items early, and verify BOM structures
  • Manufacturability Feedback: Provide feedback on designs, BOM structures, sub-assemblies, and manufacturing capabilities for U.S. and Canada
  • Customer Care, Service and Documentation: Support sales with customer facing information with details related to the launch
  • Cut-in & Rollout Coordination: Develop cut-in timeframes and collaborate with Sales and Marketing to prepare for the market introduction, roll out across plants is prepared
  • Full Project Transition Leadership: Lead the transition of projects from planning to execution, product closure activities are reviewed and completed, including KPI summaries and remaining risk dispositions
  • Early Builds & Systems Support: Identify special processes or new systems required and collaborate with teams to ensure high-quality business processes. Pilot and initial build issues are corrected timely and indicators are closely and predictably monitored
  • Supplier Development: Work with Supplier Development teams to align with NFI manufacturing standards before production

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • University degree in engineering, business, or supply chain. A combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Certificate in Program Management, ideally for vehicle manufacturing preferred
  • 8+ years in a Manufacturing, Automotive or Aerospace Design related function
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel and MS Project
  • Motivated self-starter who seeks out improvements, with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence others
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS, MS Access, SQL, and Power Bi would be considered assets
  • Green Belt Certification (Lean/Six Sigma Experience) Preferred

Up to 25% of travel is required in this position
