Job description

CERTIFIED MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT
The primary purpose is to assist in all activities assigned by the Physician/Nurse Practitioner and Office Manager.
Duties: Performs nursing and administrative duties, such as creating and maintaining patient files, assists the physician as part of the clinical care team. Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointments. preps patients for exams, maintains the exam rooms, maintains sample medication records, administers meds as directed by physician or Nurse Practitioner, gives injections and draws blood, as well as assists with scheduling tests and such. As well as any other job duties.
Must have graduated from an accredited school as a Medical Assistant, as well as a current national certification. CPR is required.
This position will be at Bacon County Community Care Center here in Alma. Hours are Monday thru Thursday 8a to 5p and Friday 8a to 2p.
