Responsibilities
Keysight Technologies, the world's premier measurement company, has an opening for R&D Process Technician position at the High Frequency Technology Center in Santa Rosa, California. Live in beautiful Sonoma County amongst vineyards, redwood forests, rivers, lakes, and coastline while working on state-of-the-art ICs and devices.
R&D Wafer Fab Process Technician at HFTC is responsible for assisting engineers in process development and sustaining of custom, cutting edge, micro and nano-fabrication technologies for high performance microwave and millimeter-wave applications. The technologies include InP and GaAs-based HBTs, HEMTs, BOLT, and other advanced electronic components that enable key competitive differentiation of Keysight's industry-leading RF, microwave, and high bit rate instruments.
The focus of this position will be on plasma dry etch, PECVD, wet etch, electroplating, and other related processes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Perform plasma etch, PECVD, wet etch, or plating on production and engineering (MST) wafers
Perform routine system qualifications, including particle check & process characterization
Perform data entry, data analysis, and basic SPC (Statistical Process Control) tasks
Oversee the management of test wafers required for process qualification
Assist engineers with NTI, corrective actions, and continuous process improvement projects
Perform experiments with minimal instructions from process engineers and summarize data in Excel spreadsheets or other data analysis tools
Perform visual inspection of IC wafers, record observations and provide detailed feedback to engineers
Train other operators and help administer training certification
Operate metrology equipment for process characterization and diagnosis - e.g. optical microscope, profilometer, ellipsometer, interferometer, SEM, and other metrology equipment
Execute other related IC processes as needed
Prepare and write equipment and process documentation
Participate in capital equipment acquisition
Qualifications
Job Qualifications
Minimum high school graduate with strong aptitude in science and math. Junior college or B.S. degree in STEM field is highly preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in plasma etching, plasma deposition, wet etch, metal deposition, plating, and other related wafer fab processes.
Hands-on experience with advanced semiconductor device fabrication is required and specific skills in III-V semiconductor processing is preferred.
Knowledge & experience with statistical process control and design of experiments is a valued qualification.
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication (oral & written) skills for successful inter and intra-group interactions.
Self-motivated to learn new things on your own or through training, and a willingness to teach that knowledge to the rest of the team
Pay Range:
USD $72,140.00 - USD $120,230.00 Year
Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
