We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as PVC Grinder Machine Operator (B) in our manufacturing facility. This role is integral to the operation of equipment and creation of quality conduit products that serve various industries.

Role Overview


The Grinder Operator is responsible for operating the Grinder Machine in our dynamic manufacturing facility. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth production of our durable and reliable conduit products. Your expertise will drive our mission to exceed industry standards through effective and efficient production processes.


Swing Shift: 3pm to 11pm

Monday through Friday


(Swing shift) Hourly Pay rates:

Start rate: $21.18/HR

Fully Trained Operator: 28.88/HR


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Know the difference between materials to be ground and ensure that different materials are not mixed together.
  • Ensure the work area assigned is kept clean and in a safe condition.
  • Must know how to operate and maintain equipment. Includes Grinder and Pulverizer machine
  • Must follow training of machine operations
  • Must report all equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to Supervisor.
  • Possess forklift certification through Prime Conduit and operate forklift in a safe manner.
  • Know the difference between Non-Recoverable Scrap and regrind material.
  • Assist with the changing of grinder blades as required.
  • Assist in the training of grinders as needed.
  • Assist with relieving Extrusion Operator B for breaks
  • Perform cleaning of various work areas as requested by the Production Manager
  • Any and all other duties as outlined and requested by the Production Manager


Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ensure a safe working environment in order to prevent injuries to self and others in the plant.
  • Develop and maintain a good employment, safety and attendance record.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn, apply and demonstrate Standard Operating Procedures required for position.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to adhere to all company policies and safety rules.
  • Ability to safely operate Forklift and able to obtain and maintain Forklift License.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must wear and maintain in good condition required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, reach, lift, push, pull or carry weight up to fifty (50) pounds for prolonged periods of time during assigned work shift.
  • Manual dexterity as needed to operate machinery and equipment and complete assigned tasks.
  • Visual and audible acuity to respond and determine discrepancies in tools and equipment and perform assignments.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises associated with plant operations.
  • Must have physical ability and dexterity, coordination and stamina to perform required job duties.


Education and Experience

  • High School and/or GED required.
  • 0-2 years PVC manufacturing experience
  • Forklift Operator experience
