Job description

Java Developer

Austin, TX $85,000 - $95,000 a year

As a Java Developer at Morelabra you will design and build cutting-edge software solutions and partner closely with our development team. This role is ideal for someone with Full-Stack or Back-End experience who thrives in an agile, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of our CRM, VMS, and Job-Board platforms using Java and related frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product owners, UI/UX designers, and QA to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable code.
  • Conduct and participate in peer code reviews to uphold code quality and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing services for performance, reliability, and security.
  • Stay current on emerging Java technologies, industry trends, and software-development best practices—and evangelize them within the team.

Qualifications

  • Must be located in Round Rock, TX—or willing to relocate.
  • Proven track record as a Java Developer, ideally with CRM, VMS, or Job-Board system implementations.
  • Deep expertise in Java (Java 8+), Spring Framework (Boot, MVC, Data, Security), and ecosystem tools.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful (and optionally SOAP) web services, relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL), and ORM frameworks (Hibernate/JPA).
  • Familiarity with recruiting-technology concepts: workflows, integrations (e.g. resume parsing, job-board feeds), and analytics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for clean, well-tested code.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable mentoring junior developers.

Benefits

  • Work on impactful, high-visibility projects at the forefront of staffing-tech innovation.
  • Competitive salary, generous PTO, and a comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401(k)).
  • Collaborative, supportive environment with regular hackathons, lunch-and-learns, and team outings.
  • Dedicated budget for certifications, conferences, and ongoing professional development.
