Job description

Staff Pharmacist-OPD/SPD

Per-Diem pharmacist to cover vacation and time off for Outpatient and specialty Pharmacy Pharmacist.

External Description

This position is accountable for those pharmacy services which require a pharmaceutical education and state licensure; leadership experience and extensive professional judgment are also required. Receives, compounds, fills and verifies prescriptions, dispenses pharmaceuticals, offers preventative healthcare services such as immunizations, consults with clients regarding the nature and use of drugs, and trains and/or supervises personnel. Prepares and maintains all necessary records required by federal, state and local regulations. These duties are performed independently, according to regulatory guidelines, departmental policies and procedures, as scheduled bythesupervisory staff.

Education:

To qualify aBachelor of Science Degreein Pharmacyor Doctor ofPharmacyDegree is required.

Licensing/Certifications:

New York State Pharmacist License and Current Registration. Certified Immunizer Required.

Experience:

At leastthree (3)years of experience as a licensed community retail/outpatient pharmacist required; Previous institutional experience helpful, but not required; On-the-job training after employment is necessary; Ability to multi-task and set priorities; Computer skills; Experience with Micro MerchantPrimeRxpharmacy software (Preferred); 340B pharmacy experience (Preferred);
