Job description

Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Location: Fall River Mills, California
Pay Rate: $66.00/hr
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day shifts, 4:00 AM–4:30 PM
Total Working Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Experience: Minimum 2 years required

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract opportunity in Fall River Mills, California. This role requires strong emergency nursing skills, the ability to assess and treat patients quickly, and confidence working in a critical access hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients.

  • Assess, triage, monitor, and document patient conditions.

  • Respond quickly to acute illness, trauma, and emergency situations.

  • Perform treatments, EKGs, blood draws, IV starts, and other assigned clinical tasks.

  • Administer medications and follow narcotics control procedures.

  • Initiate emergency resuscitative measures per protocol.

  • Provide patient and family education with compassion and professionalism.

  • Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner.

  • Support patient safety, infection control, confidentiality, and quality care standards.

Requirements

  • Active California Registered Nurse license required.

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.

  • BLS/BCLS certification required.

  • ACLS certification required.

  • PALS certification required.

  • NRP certification required.

  • TNCC certification required.

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.

  • Emergency Department experience preferred.

  • Cerner experience preferred.

  • Day shift and holiday coverage availability required.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work effectively in a fast-paced emergency care setting required.
