Job description

Job Summary

Responsible for providing a wide range of secretarial duties and coordinating office procedures in support of the department.  

Duties & Responsibilities

1.    Accurately transcribe physician dictation of Vascular studies results.   Fax, courier or mail any reports not sent electronically. 

2.    Maintains patient's charts.  Updates demographics and prepares new charts as needed.  Pull charts for next day's appointments and retrieve previous studies as needed.

3.   Enter charges (technical in Cerner and professional component in Caretracker) for       all Vascular studies.

4.    Greet/receive visitors, answer phone calls and convey messages promptly and        courteously.  Field questions regarding vascular studies.

5.   Schedule vascular lab appointments in Cerner.

6.   Call patients and confirm appointments.

7.   Maintain office equipment and order supplies as necessary to perform job.

8.   File all paperwork, results etc.

9.   Type correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, memoranda, special projects,               technical correspondence and related material as requested. 

10. Performs all other related duties as assigned.              

Requirements

Vocational/Technical training and a minimum of six months job-related experience or equivalent.
