Job description

Position Summary
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is a trusted partner of federal health agencies. We are seeking a Scrum Master to facilitate agile delivery as the VA transitions to a modern EHR. The Scrum Master is the facilitator for the delivery team, ensuring the team follows agile processes and practices and promoting Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. This task order requires the Agile Release Train design to be staffed from within the requirement and calls for lean-agile practice to meet changing expertise requirements across Planning Intervals while maintaining team stability and performance. The ideal candidate has demonstrated SAFe Lean-Agile experience and can hold cadence steady in a surge environment where emergent work is the norm.

  • Ensure the team follows agile processes and practices and promote Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values
  • Apply SAFe Lean-Agile principles and practices to drive value and sustain organizational change and operational excellence
  • Support Agile Release Train operations staffed from resources within this requirement
  • Leverage lean-agile principles to meet changing expertise requirements across Planning Intervals while maintaining team stability and performance
  • Remove impediments to delivery and escalate blockers requiring Program Manager or VHA action
  • Maintain and groom the backlog in coordination with informatics, change management, and communications workstreams
  • Track and report iteration metrics, velocity, and delivery performance against the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies across the seven ORIS service categories
  • Support intake and triage of surge events into the delivery cadence without destabilizing committed work
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Scrum Master or agile team facilitator
  • Demonstrated understanding of SAFe Lean-Agile principles and practices
  • Experience facilitating agile ceremonies for technical or informatics delivery teams

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and written and oral communication skills
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Low/NACI background investigation.

Preferred Qualification
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification
  • Experience supporting an Agile Release Train or SAFe implementation at enterprise scale
