About the Position

L&M Carpet One Floor and Home holds their installations to the highest of standards and strives to always provide exceptional service in order to surpass customer expectations. Candidates will be working with all types of carpet products for remodels and new construction projects (including wall-to-wall carpet and stair runners). In order to be successful, the candidate must possess a desire to continually improve and learn, be a part of a talented group of installers, and be dedicated to excellence. L&M Carpet One provides continued training, a L&M Carpet One van, tools and more! As a result of the commitment to both their customers and their staff, L&M Carpet One is proud of their team retention; with several installers that have been part of their team for over 40 years.


Tile installers will be responsible for installing tile for floor, wall, and shower applications.


What You'll Do
  • Complete all aspects of floor-covering projects for tile installations, including: demolition, sub-floor preparation, flooring installation, backsplash installation, shower installation, trim work and more.
  • Interact with customers on the job site, representing L&M in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in all interactions with clients, while maintaining excellent service through job completion.
  • Attend L&M Carpet One and vendor provided training.
  • Problem-solve issues that may arise in the field in order to continue work-flow and timely completion.
  • Communicate effectively with the installation manager, providing updates on project completion, unexpected job-site situations, etc.
  • Maintain company provided van, tools and work environment as if they were your own.

Requirements
  • Take pride in your work.
  • Possess a valid drivers-license.
  • 3 years of construction experience is preferred.
  • Ability to safely use an arrangement of different tools required to provide proper project completion.
  • Knowledge of general construction.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage time in order to complete projects by projected completion dates.
  • Ability to read and understand layouts, as well as, blueprints.
  • Ability to provide references.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug testing.
