POSITION OVERVIEW

The Assistant General Manager serves as the operational leader of the restaurant and works directly alongside the General Manager to ensure exceptional guest experiences, strong team performance, and smooth day-to-day execution. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading people, solving problems, developing teams, and creating memorable guest experiences.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Operations Leadership • Lead daily restaurant operations • Ensure exceptional guest service and hospitality standards • Manage opening, closing, and shift execution • Resolve guest concerns and service recovery situations • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational standards Team Leadership • Coach and develop team members and supervisors • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding • Monitor employee performance and accountability • Support a positive and professional workplace culture • Help develop future leaders within the organization Scheduling & Labor Management • Assist with staff scheduling • Manage labor throughout shifts • Respond to staffing challenges and call-offs • Ensure proper staffing levels to support business demands Administrative Responsibilities • Assist with inventory management and ordering • Monitor food quality and operational standards • Complete operational reports and administrative tasks • Follow up on maintenance and facility issues • Support implementation of company initiatives and goals

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years of restaurant management experience • Proven leadership and coaching abilities • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to remain calm under pressure • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills • Experience managing labor and restaurant operations • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed • Passion for hospitality and guest service

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Full-service restaurant management experience • Experience with scheduling and labor management • Experience leading teams of 25+ employees • Food safety certification • Knowledge of restaurant financial performance metrics
