Job Summary and Qualifications
  • You will need comprehensive knowledge of essential elements of the Central Service process
  • You will be responsible for planning, organizing and monitoring activities of the unit to meet patient, physician and unit needs
  • You will be responsible for appropriate resource utilization in a cost effective manner, and provide an environment conducive to professional growth for personnel
  • You will operationalize institutional and unit goals and objectives, and will report to the Director of Surgical Services
What qualifications you will need:
  • Associate Arts Degree and specialty certification preferred (Certified Surgical Technician acceptable)
  • Two years management experience preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive Central Service or surgery experience required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sterilization principles, theories and practices & knowledge of new modalities of surgical techniques required
  • Strong interpersonal skills & demonstrated teaching and precepting skills required
