Job description

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

We are hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic care team at Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center!

Up to $40 an hour with weekly pay.

As a PTA, you assist in the provision, collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist and participate in clinical program development.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
  • CEU's per state licensure requirements.
  • Must possess a Massachusetts PTA license.
  • New graduates welcome!

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • May perform additional assigned administrative duties such as assigned by the Rehab Program Manager.
  • Under a physician's order provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment venue includes individual, supervised, and group.
  • Contributes to the team meeting and decision making process as defined by the program.
  • Consults with and trains patients, residents and caregivers.
  • Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor.
  • Documents activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
  • Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
  • Participates in clinical program development and implementation.
  • Demonstrates ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary.

  • Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment and direct patient care.
  • Requires intense attention and concentration.
  • Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others.
