Job description

  1. Assists families in the cemetery office during the arrangement time for the burial of the deceased and follows up to set appointments in the office with Family Service Program materials. Incumbent accomplishes this by following established policies and procedures for at-need arrangements, personalizing the Family Service Program materials, setting in- office appointments, making presentations, obtaining referrals, and following up with families.
  1. Exhibits thorough knowledge of the products and services of Associated Catholic Cemeteries and the theology and history of the Catholic burial tradition. Incumbent accomplishes this by being fully versed about all information concerning products and services, the Catholic burial tradition, and integrating this knowledge into the presentations made to families.
  2. Makes personal sales to meet ACC revenue needs. The incumbent accomplishes this by setting and meeting personal sales goals in meeting, as a minimum, sales requirements established by ACC.
  1. Completes all necessary record keeping in a timely manner. Incumbent accomplishes this by completing in full all contracts, purchase related documents and other paperwork determined to be essential or necessary for the full implementation of the Family Service Program in a clear, legible, and timely manner.
  1. Maintains Professional Appearance and Presence: Family Service Advisors are entrusted with upholding the sacred atmosphere and dignity of Associated Catholic Cemeteries through the maintenance of a professional appearance and demeanor.
  1. The Family Service Advisor is expected to be readily available to greet families as they arrive for committal services, providing a warm and compassionate presence during this emotionally significant moment. Family Service Advisors are required to lead and direct committal services as needed.
  1. Attends meetings for the purposes of evaluating performance, generating new ideas/leads and giving input to sales materials. Incumbent accomplishes this by actively participating in meetings, sharing new ideas and giving input to sales materials and assisting where needed.
  1. Is available to work and actively participate in all position related job functions. Incumbent accomplishes this by engaging in regular and dependable attendance on the job including arriving to work on time, by being ready to work when the shift begins, taking rest breaks and meal periods as required by ACC policy, and remaining on the job until the scheduled work shift is over.
  2. Cultivates a Positive Image and Enhances Public Relations for ACC: The incumbent plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive perception of ACC by consistently projecting its values and mission in all interactions with the public. Through embodying professionalism, empathy, and integrity, the incumbent contributes to the establishment of trust and goodwill among the diverse stakeholders served by ACC.
